Green School Activities

At St Brendan’s, our Green School activities encourage pupils to develop a strong sense of care and responsibility for the environment. Through a wide range of practical and engaging initiatives—such as recycling and waste reduction, energy conservation, biodiversity projects, and outdoor learning—children learn how their everyday actions can make a positive difference. These activities are embedded across school life and support pupils in becoming informed, active citizens who understand the importance of sustainability, both within our school community and beyond.

Green School Activities

Engaging in Green School activities helps pupils understand that caring for the environment today plays a vital role in protecting the long-term health of our planet. By learning about sustainability, conservation, and responsible use of resources, children develop lifelong habits that reduce environmental impact and support a healthier Earth for future generations. These activities empower pupils to recognise their role in addressing environmental challenges and inspire them to take positive action that contributes to a more sustainable and resilient planet.

A wonderful environment in which to learn, play and grow.
